1:1 in Phibblestown today!
As we predicted, we played two hard and very interesting matches today.
Our ladies opened this handball Sunday at 12:30pm. First half was a very good play by our ladies with our magic Ingrida in the goal. By half-time we had one goal behind 7×8.
Second half didn’t start good for our ladies with few mistakes at beginning, but they didn’t surrender. Sadly few injuries in already short squad resulted in first defeat this year for our Ladies, with the match finishing at 14×21 to DCH.
Congratulations to Ingrida who swooped Player of a Match award with an amazing performance today.
At 2.30 pm was sign that it was time for the men’s match – and we all knew what that meant.
Amazing performance by our team from first whistle and defence that gave us 12×5 advantage on half time. In the second-half we continued in the same pace and another magic performance by Luka in goal gave us a win 20×13 and hold on top of the table.
Today was definitely a goalkeepers day, as Luka picked up Player of Match in men’s match and he is on strike of 2 in a row.
Amazing day of handball in Phibblestown today and we would like to thank our opponents Dublin City Handball on the fair games.
Next week our boy’s are heading to Edinburgh where they will play the Celtic Cup Final 4, together with Dublin City Handball and Astra Wings. We wish all our Irish teams good luck and hopefully they will come back home with some trophies and medals!
